Welcome to Christ Covenant Reformed Baptist Church!
I am glad you are here to get to know us more. Please allow me to begin the conversation, and you and I can pick up whenever we meet at one of our Sunday services.
I was born in the Middle East, and my family immigrated to Canada when I was a teenager. While attending university, I led a life of indulgence. Although I grew up in a strict Sunni Muslim household, I became a skeptic soon after graduating from university. In God’s providence, my best friend was saved by Christ after a battle with depression and attended a local Evangelical church. He invited me to attend with him a Sunday service. After reading Matthew’s Gospel and hearing the Word faithfully preached regularly, I recognized that I am a wretched sinner deserving of God’s wrath.
Still, because of His great mercy, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take my place on that cross. Indeed, Christ died for my sin, then He rose again and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God to be my Mediator, interceding for me until I see Him face-to-face in my resurrected body in which I will live forever worshipping and enjoying Him. What a glorious salvation this is! Initially, my spiritual growth was slow, thinking I could be a follower of Jesus and do whatever I felt was right. However, consistent Scripture reading and ongoing biblical discipleship bore fruit in my life.
Afterward, I returned to the Middle East to work in Human Resources as a Learning & Development Supervisor at a large multinational company. While overseas, God refined my faith in Christ, and my walk with the Lord grew in tandem with the hardships He brought into my life. Upon returning to Montreal, my wife and I answered God’s call to join the same local church where I was saved years prior. There I was trained and ordained for the Gospel Ministry. Now, I serve as a Missionary/Church Planter with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) under the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC).
I hold a B.A. in Political Science from Concordia University, a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry, a Ph.D. in Bible Exposition from Liberty University (LU), and a Doctor of Ministry in Ecclesiology and Church Planting from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS). I am also a full member of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS). Looking back, I realize how the Lord has blessed me in many ways, and I praise Him for all His good and perfect gifts.
Indeed, the Lord's most amazing gifts are my wife and the two beautiful daughters He has blessed us with. I thank the Lord for all the grace He has shown us in the past years, and we look forward to serving Him with all our strength and by His sustaining power to the glory of His Name.
This is the testimony of what God did in my life. I look forward to meeting you soon to talk about the Good News of God’s saving grace and what He did and will do in yours.
